Rally taken out to raise awareness on right to info
IN ORDER to raise awareness on right to information members of the Purvanchal Gramin Sewa Samiti and People?s Forum along with other organisations took out a rally from St Joseph?s School, here on Friday. Participants carried placards in their hands and shouted slogans against prevailing corruption.
IN ORDER to raise awareness on right to information members of the Purvanchal Gramin Sewa Samiti and People’s Forum along with other organisations took out a rally from St Joseph’s School, here on Friday. Participants carried placards in their hands and shouted slogans against prevailing corruption. They called upon the people to use right to information as a weapon to weed out corruption from society.
Local MLA Dr RMD Agrawal and coordinator of People’s Forum Prof RK Mani Tripathi flagged off the rally which passed from Chetna crossing, Golghar and Ganesh crossing. Later, the rally converted into a meeting addressed by prominent social workers.
Agrawal said people’s rights could help decrease common problems. He expressed hope common people would welcome drive against bribery.
Throwing light on significance of rights coordinator Forum Prof RK Mani Tripathi highlighted the features of the rights and said there was a tendency among government officials to conceal information, which generated corruption.
