Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday condemned the attack on BJP MP Baliram Kashyap's sons and directed the police to increase the security of the family.
Singh along with his cabinet members met Kashyap, an MP from Bastar district, in Jagdalpur, officials said in Raipur.
The chief minister condoled the death of Kashyap's son Tansen in the attack and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members, they added.
He also enquired about the health of Dinesh, Kashyap's another son, who is admitted in Maharani Hospital in Jagdalpur.
Condemning the attack, Singh said that such incidents indicate the anti-democratic mentality of the attackers and there is no place for such violence in the democratic society.
Meanwhile, Bastar SP Sunder Raj P said the hunt is on to nab the attackers and security of the Kashyap family has been increased.
Four cycle-borne assailants, suspected to be Naxals, had yesterday opened fire at Kashyap's sons, Tansen and Dinesh, when they had gone to their ancestral village for Durga pooja celebrations, killing Tansen.
