Ravi discusses Indian doctors' problems in UK

Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi today took up problems faced by doctors in Britain with visiting British Parliamentarians.

Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on Thursday took up problems faced by doctors and physicians of Indian origin in Britain with visiting British Parliamentarians.

Ravi also asked the visiting four-member delegation of British Parliamnetary Select Committee on Home Affairs to use their "good offices" to take a positive view as doctors of Indian origin formed the backbone of the healthcare services in Britain.

The delegation of John Denham, Richard Benyon, Janet Dean and Shahid Malik are visiting India to have an understanding of the issues relating to international migration and social issues concerning the Indian diaspora, an official release said.
