Resident doctors of LNJP hospital go on strike

Resident doctors at the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital in New Delhi went on a strike on Saturday protesting the alleged assault on a medico by relatives of a patient who died.

Emergency and OPD services at the hospital were affected due to the strike, a hospital official said.

Resident doctors claimed that the relatives of a casualty patient who died on Saturday had assaulted their colleague alleging improper treatment.

The striking doctors are demanding that they be given adequate security in view of the incident.

Senior officials of the hospital were holding a meeting with the residents doctors to resolve the issue.
