Residents of Sector 45 and the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) came together to clean and beautify roads in the area on Monday.
While the civic agency provided 11 labourers and two bulldozers, residents supervised the drive and pitched in.
They cleaned up mud heaps, ditches and garbage lying along sector roads.

On Sunday, Huda administrator Praveen Kumar had held a meeting with residents and inspected the area.
He asked the area sub-divisional engineer (SDE) to survey and submit a report on encroachments on Huda lands and plots.
“The Huda chief admitted to staff shortage in the department and also lack of will among officers. He assured us to provide labourers and JCB machines to beautify the sector roads and green belts,” said Deepak Srivastav, a resident.
Residents had been complaining about encroachments near Kanhai village for the past three years but to no avail.
