Respite from cold as temperature rises

THE PEOPLE of Madhya Pradesh had a respite from bitter cold as day and night temperatures increased by one to two degree Celsius at most places owing to reduced intensity of Northern winds.

THE PEOPLE of Madhya Pradesh had a respite from bitter cold as day and night temperatures increased by one to two degree Celsius at most places owing to reduced intensity of Northern winds. The meteorological department said that Northeastern winds has led to an increase in temperature.

Besides, the State is receiving moisture-laden winds from Kashmir due to the creation of western disturbances there. The situation will continue for the next two days and a fall in temperature is expected.

World-renowned Khajuraho recorded a minimum temperature of eight degree Celsius while the corresponding figures for other places were: Bhopal (11 degree), Jabalpur (10 degree) and Gwalior (9 degree). The maximum temperature varied from 27 to 33 degree at several places.
