“ The higher education in India is influenced by the era of globalisation with reference to WTO. It is a matter of great concern lest Indian philosophy of education in India should miss. The country needs designing of such a society where social justice and human values may exist,” he said.
Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Prof Kushwaha explained that higher education in India was in second position at the world level as a result of which, several new questions arose in this connection how to manage financial management and how to provide qualitative and competitive education to students. Under the existing scenario, the re-orientation of higher education and its evaluation was a must.
Keeping in view the fact, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had been using the education as a tool for bright future of Indian society, focusing on teaching, research, extension and seminars. It had already chalked out a comprehensive work plan in this connection.
Commenting over the ongoing era of globalisation, Prof Kushwaha said it had dominated throughout the world where culture had become a thing of exchange and values related to welfare of common people were losing their significance.
