Govindacharya, who was in the city to attend Deen Dayal birth centenary programme at Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Inter College, said that every political party was given a chance to rule the country during the past 20 years.
The former BJP leader, who also addressed a press conference, said that all parties had to toe the lines set by the world economic powers. Talking about Islam, he said violence and forceful conversion had been a part of Islamic revolution.
Regarding the BJP’s bid to raise the issue of Vande Mataram at the cost of other issues, he said that the issues pertaining to national honour were different from issues related to national need. “They cannot be taken up simultaneously,” he said.
Govindacharya made it clear that he would not be a part of any government or party in future. He said that his creative works would have lasting affect on the politics of the country.
Earlier, Govindacharya attended a programme at Chandra Shekhar Azad Agricultural University.
