RIM launches BlackBerry 8530 on Tata

Cellular services provider, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTL) and Research In Motion, together have launched BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone for the CDMA customers on Tata Indicom network.

Cellular services provider, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTL) and Research In Motion, together have launched BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone for the CDMA customers on Tata Indicom network.

The handset will be available at all authorised Tata Indicom retail stores across the country and will have a combination of pre-paid and post-paid plans, Tata Indicom said in a statement here on Thursday.

"The CDMA smartphone market is developing rapidly. The launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8530 will give Tata Indicom customers access to a very approachable smartphone at an affordable price," TTL's Senior Vice-President, Pradeep Dwivedi, said.

The company will be offering free Tata Indicom data services for two months along with the BlackBerry Curve 8530. The offer is open till June 30.

Users can enjoy watching free live TV for the first three months if they subscribe before June 30, the statement said.
