IRKED OVER the attitude of railway officials , thousands of members of NER Employees Union took out a procession and staged dharna at Chief Commercial Manager (CCM) manager office demanding to withdraw suspension of five TTE.

They also handed over a memorandum to the CCM and said the harassment of TTE and running staff should be checked.

National secretary of the union Subhash Dubey said the officials were punishing the employees to cover up their failure in increasing the income of department and said that union had given October 5 deadline to withdraw the suspension of TTEs but instead of resolving the problems the officials are trying to suppress the voice of the employees.

It is noteworthy that Divisional Commercial Manager of NER Ravi Chaturvedi had suspended all the five TTEs deputed in general boogies of Dehradun Express to check the ticket. The high handedness of a TTE while checking ticket had resulted in death of a passenger. In post-mortem report it was said that death was occurred due to torture by the TTE.

Those TTEs who were suspended are CM Arya, Shiv Prasad, DP Mishra, CN Yadav and Sanjay Kumar Srivastav. A criminal case was also lodged against them.
