Singhvi was arrested early on Thursday in connection with a bribe cartel in the mines department. The bureau also arrested two mines officials and five other individuals and recovered Rs 2.5 crore during a raid in Udaipur.

The bureau also searched Singhvi’s lockers on September 16. The total recovered jewellery from his possession after Saturday search amounts to Rs 3 crore, said the spokesperson. The recovered jewellery is made of gold, diamond, platinum, and white gold.

The ACB investigators took Singhvi to his five bank lockers in Jaipur and searched them. The sleuths also sealed his bank accounts. The bureau on Friday brought Singhvi and seven other accused to Jaipur from Udaipur where they were produced in a court and remanded to five days police custody.

The accused were put up in a barrack at Rajasthan police academy. According to an officer, the accused are being interrogated separately and would be brought face-to-face turn wise to corroborate their statements.
