They were angry about non-availability of an injection at the hospital. The activists gheraoed the chief medical superintendent and raised slogans, causing inconvenience to patients.
Trouble began when an LJP activist came to the OPD, demanding medicines and injections.
“He was suffering from some minor injury and the doctor properly attended him.
He was asked to get a tetanus shot from outside. But instead, he came back with at least 30 other LJP activists and they started shouting slogans,” said Dr SJ Singh, chief medical superintendent of Colvin Hospital. Dr Singh claimed that the tetanus injection was available at the hospital. “But since it was stored in the refrigerator, the doctor asked the activist to get the injection from outside,” he added.
