The demonstration by examiners put centre incharge HK Yadav in a tight spot.

Teacher leaders also rushed pacified the examiners who accused that no fourth class employee was deputed to bring the copies from the record rooms and there was no electric supply in any room. The darkness in the room was creating problems in evaluating answer books. They said the centre incharge had not even made proper arrangements for drinking water at the centre. Talking to HT, Yadav said the electricity supply in the entire area was suspended for the last eight hours which also crippled the water supply system on Friday which created trouble. He assured the evaluators that he would provide all the basic facilities.

MLC Dr YD Singh and general secretary of UP Inter Mediate Teachers’ Association (Sharma group) Panchanan Rai inspected the evaluation centre and discussed the situation with the education secretary on telephone. They directed the centre incharge to cooperate with the evaluators.

Principal of MP Inter College Ram Janam Singh raised problems before the teacher leaders and said the Board was providing nominal payment to the class IV employees and no one was interested to work on the small payment of Rs 5 per day. He said examiners were not turning up and the list of the shortage of evaluators had been sent to the DIOS.
