Running long-distance, it seems, isn’t Budhia Singh’s only talent. Orissa’s marathon boy is living up to his celebrity status by appearing in music videos, modelling in advertisements and even walking the ramp.

Budhia was part of the ‘Fashion Today and Tomorrow’ ramp show organised by students of the ALT College of Fashion Technology here on Sunday evening. The venue, a hotel auditorium, was packed to the hilt with cheering youngsters, schoolchildren and mediapersons. And he did not disappoint. Dressed in a red jacket and blue jeans, Budhia waved at the crowd and blew kisses their way as he walked the ramp.

Judging by what he had to say after the show, Budhia is loving all the attention. "It is something amazing and completely different from my regular exercises and running. I enjoyed it a lot and would love to do many more ramp shows," the four-year old said eagerly.

Coach Biranchi Das was there by Budhia's side. Das said that a few hours before the show, Budhia was required to show a few of his practiced moves on the ramp. Prior to that, he was felicitated by the organisers of the show. Delhi-based fashion designer Snehashis Ray presented him with a citation and a brass statue.

Budhia was not the only child prodigy on the ramp. Five more of the state's child celebrities, who have set records in different fields at the national and international level, shared the ramp with him. But surely, he was the biggest draw of the lot.
