Mahesh was declared brain dead on October 6.

An NGO Mohan Foundation approached the family of youth. The family was apprehensive about it, but the sarpanch of their village convinced them for it.

Mahesh's kidneys, liver, heart valves and eyes were retrieved and used by different hospitals.
