Chief judge Mohammed al-Oreibi al-Khalifah ordered the arrest of Badie Aref for insulting the court.
The chief judge in the genocide trial of Saddam Hussein on Wednesday ejected a key defence lawyer and ordered him to be arrested for a day for "insulting the court".
