Salem would be produced in cases pertaining to 1993 serial bomb blasts and murder of Ajit Dewani, former secretary of actor Manisha Koirala.

The 1993 bomb blasts case is being heard in a TADA court housed in central prison while the Ajit Dewani murder case in the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court located at Mazgaon.

The MCOCA court would go through the alleged confession given by Salem about his role in the Ajit Dewani murder case.

Salem had confessed his role before police and also confirmed before a Magistrate on February 10. His confession was kept in a sealed cover and sent to the MCOCA court, which is expected to take it on record on Wednesday.

This is the third case in which Salem has confessed to his role, the first one was the 1993 bomb blast case and the second was Pradeep Jain murder case. So far, he has not retracted his confession but has made an allegation of police torture before a MCOCA court.

In the confession, Salem is reported to have disclosed to the magistrate the names of all those Bollywood personalities from whom he had extorted money, the sources said.

The gangster also reportedly talked about his association with Shah Alam, who has been arrested in this case for helping Salem in extorting money from the victims in the Bollywood, the sources added.

Dewani was murdered in 2002 by killers allegedly hired by Salem. The assailants have been arrested and are facing trial in which 11 witnesses have deposed before the court.
