Nimbus Communications has clarified that they are determined to acquire the Salman-Akshay Kumar starrer Jaaneman at any cost, irrespective of the recent developments, reports Bollywood Trade.

Said Vivek Vaswani, group advisor of Nimbus Communications: "The sentence announced by the Jodhpur court convicting Salman may well have its repercussions in terms of the release date of the film undergoing a slight change, but we are as keen to acquire the rights of the film as we were at one point of time."

Nimbus was last said to have offered an unheard of price, estimated to be in the range of Rs 60-70 million for the Mumbai rights of the film.

If and when the deal comes through, it will be the highest price for a Salman film so far.
