Besides, they also sent a complaint to the National Safai Karmchari Commission. A meeting of senior leaders of the Mahashabha presided over by its state president Sunil Balmiki was held.

Addressing the members, Sunil said Safai workers serving the Municipal Corporation were not being paid their salary regularly.

Besides, Safai workers engaged by the corporation on contract were also facing the same problem like regular employees.

Therefore, the workers were facing financial hardship and their living has become miserable, Sunil said.

State General Secretary of the Mhashabha Pappu Tarachand warned the officials concerned of the corporation that any effort made by them to compel the Safai workers to carry on their duties without proper salary would be opposed by the Mahashabha and all the cleaning work would be stopped.
