Sarabjit Singh, 45, an Indian, is on death row for his alleged role in bomb blasts in Lahore and Multan in 1990. He is in the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore.
On Saturday, Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur and his daughter Swapandeep met administration officials to seek an appointment with President Zardari.
Sources said Pakistani virologist Khalil Chisty’s daughter, Amna, had sent a memorandum to Pakistani officials pleading with them to ask the Indian government to consider her father’s clemency plea. Chisty, 81, had been awarded life sentence in 2011 in a murder case after a 19-year trial.
