According to E! Online, Sarandon, who makes a guest appearance in the serial, has filmed scenes with Clooney last week.

Clooney, who starred as Dr Doug Ross from 1994 to 1999 in the long-running series before leaving to pursue his movie career, agreed to return to the role for the final episodes before the series comes to an end after 15 seasons, imdb.com reports.

It isn't the first time Sarandon has made a guest appearance on a hit US television show - she has starred in Friends, Malcolm In The Middle, Rescue Me and The Simpsons.
