"The committee would call on the Governor on Monday and would urge him to request Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee to call off her opposition to the Nano plant in Singur," Manash Ghosh, secretary of the 'Save Nano Committee' told reporters in Singur.

Ghosh claimed that people from all walks of life in Singur, including some Trinamool Congress activists, are members of the Save Nano Committee.

He also claimed that the committee would hold a public meeting in Kolkata if Trinamool chief does not call off her opposition to the Nano plant in Singur.

The committee would explain to the people the benefits that they would have received if the plant was set up in Singur.
