Besides holding consultations with legal experts, the chief minister also met his close confidants and discussed the issue. A Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice Ruma Pal on Monday had issued notices to Yadav and his family members.
When contacted, advocate general Veerendra Bhatia refused to comment on the issue. Bhatia, however, asserted that replies to the SC notices would be filed within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the chief minister’s apprehensions that his life was under threat remained a point of discussion in the corridors of power. Senior officers of the State Government remained tightlipped on the issue saying that Yadav had already indicated that he would speak on the issue at an appropriate time.
Meanwhile, the chief minister is learnt to have left for New Delhi to hold further consultations. Officers, however, only confirmed that the CM was out of station and his location was not known.
