SC to hear plea against sealing today

Centre, MCD will once again try to convince SC to grant relief to around 25000 traders in Delhi from sealing.

The Centre and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will once again try to convince the Supreme Court to grant relief to around 25000 traders in Delhi from sealing today.

These traders are among those 40,000 who had filed undertakings in the court that they will shut their shops but did not do so after the government notifications exempted their shops from sealing.

On November 6, however, SC declined to grant any relief to these traders.

Meanwhile, the capital's traders will start a relay hunger strike today.
