The Supreme Court will on Tuesday give its final verdict in the case related to the dissolution of the Bihar assembly.
The court had described Bihar Assembly dissolution as unconstitutional last year.
In a brief order issued on October 7, 2005, a five-member constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice YK Sabharwal had declared a presidential proclamation issued in May last to dissolve the Bihar Assembly as unconstitutional.
The brief judgement had said: "Keeping in view the questions involved, the pronouncement of judgement with detailed reasons is likely to take some time and, therefore, at this stage we are pronouncing this brief order as the order of the court to be followed by detailed reasons later."
On Tuesday, the bench is expected to come out with detailed reasons why it held the dissolution of the assembly as unconstitutional.
The central government had recommended the dissolution on the basis of two reports sent by the Bihar Governor Buta Singh. These two reports, which were made public, became the subject of a batch of petitions that questioned the legality of the proclamation.
