In the last several years, at least the last generation has not witnessed such zeal towards a programme or meet organised by any political party, particularly by one sitting in the Opposition. The crowd consisting an unexpectedly enormous number of women could be noticed flocking the streets and sides of roads to have a glimpse of Scindia.

The police administration could manage to control only the traffic between Guna and Aaron. In fact the massive crowd of nearly 50,000 people could be controlled only after Scindia himself came on stage to speak to them.

The zeal among the people reminded of the same crowd flocking 22 years back to have a glimpse of former Prime Minister the late Rajiv Gandhi when he visited Aaron as Congress general secretary. Another witness to the crowd was Jyotiraditya Scindia’s father the late Madhavrao Scindia himself.

In his speech, Scindia reiterated his resolve to make extra efforts to fulfil two prominent demands, which are power and roads between Aaron and Ashoknagar. He also said the work of laying down new lines and raising capacity of existing sub stations would continue.
