Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today rebuffed the opposition leader Nar Bahadur Bhandari for levelling the charge of corruption in government offices and said Bhandari's 14-year rule was notorious for the violation of human rights, money laundering, scams and scandals.

Talking to reporters here today after releasing the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front's (SDF) manifesto for the coming simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in the state, Chamling who also heads the SDF said ''Bhandari's was the first government in Sikkim which was dismissed on corruption charges."
Pointing out that it was during Bhandari's rule that scribes were for the first time beaten up in the state, Chamling said he only misled people during the 14 years of his rule.
