Security at the Mumbai Sessions Court has been stepped up following receipt of an anonymous letter on Friday warning of some terrorist activity in its premises, police said.

The letter was addressed to the secretariat and was directed to the court registrar by the secretariat security department, a senior police official said.

"Although the content of the letter do not seem to be serious enough that its cognizance should be taken, security at sessions court has been stepped up as a precautionary measure," the official said.
