Seminar at Vaishnav Polytechnic

A TWO-DAY seminar on ?development of knowledge-based society? was held in Shri Vaishnav Polytechnic College recently. Centre for Advanced Technology (CAT) former Director Dr D D Bhawalkar was chief guest of the discussion held on second day of the seminar. Additional Collector Ramesh Bhandari presided over the programme.

A TWO-DAY seminar on ‘development of knowledge-based society’ was held in Shri Vaishnav Polytechnic College recently. Centre for Advanced Technology (CAT) former Director Dr D D Bhawalkar was chief guest of the discussion held on second day of the seminar. Additional Collector Ramesh Bhandari presided over the programme.

Dr Bhawalkar emphasised the need of practical application in Indian education. He said that quality and competitiveness were both important in this global era.

Seminar coordinator Sanjeev Kirtane gave a brief report of the objectives of programme. Engineering College (Nagpur) Professor Dr Girish Sahastrabudhe said social knowledge has been left behind in the race of technical development. Manmohan Sangneria conducted the discussion.

A musical programme was organised after the discussion. Students from various colleges performed at the event. Anjali Kirtane conducted the cultural show.
