Senior BJP leader Taba Hare joins Congress

Taba Hare, former president of Arunachal Pradesh unit of BJP had led the party to power in 2003 has now joined Congress.

A senior BJP leader of Arunachal Pradesh and two former ministers of the state joined the ruling Congress on Saturday.

Taba Hare, former president of Arunachal Pradesh unit of BJP had led the party to power in 2003 which saw the defection of state strongman Gegong Apang along with Congress and Arunachal Congress to it.

The tide, however, turned later and Apang formed a Congress-led government, which is now headed by Dorjee Khandu.
The other two to join Congress were former ministers Doi Ado and Talo Mugli.

At a reception at Congress Bhawan in Itanagar, Hare said he was impressed by the work of Khandu and decided to join the party to contribute his mite for the development of the state.
