Tracking strong global trend, the stock markets on Friday rallied further with both benchmark indices — the Sensex and the Nifty — touching new peaks of 14,409.59 and 4,181.25 respectively in early trade on the back of all-round buying support from investors.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 30-share sensitive index, Sensex, opened firm and surged to an all-time intra-day high of 14,409.59 at 10.15 am, an increase of 142.41 points over Thursday's close of 14,267.18.
Similarly, National Stock Exchange (NSE) index, the Nifty, scaled a new trading peak of 4,181.25, registering a gain of 44.05 points over the previous close of 4,137.20.
Asian markets exhibited buoyant trend during early trade in the morning, boosting the sentiment.
Out of the 30 index-based counters, 28 recorded smart gains in the initial 15 minutes of trading on heavy buying support from operators as well as institutional investors.
