French fourth seed Mauresmo will be hoping to snap Serena's 19-match winning streak at the All England Club when the pair step out on Centre Court for their eighth meeting.

Before Mauresmo looks to improve on her 6-1 losing record against the top seed, Russian teenager Maria Sharapova will be hoping her dream run does not come to an end at the hands of Lindsay Davenport in the first match on Centre Court.

The Siberian-born Sharapova has already captivated fans and peers, including 1999 champion and fifth seed Davenport, with her attacking play and boundless energy on court.

At 17 years and two months, she becomes the youngest semi-finalist at Wimbledon since Switzerland's Martina Hingis beat fellow 16-year-old Anna Kournikova en route to the title in 1997.
