Monsoon is almost round the corner and with rain showers spoiling chatty evenings in the garden can be a turn off. Here are a few things that one should set aside in a store and others that one can slip in the garden while setting up the look.

The set of garden equipments should be carefully dried and stored so that it does not catch rust, since most of it is made out of iron/mild steel.

Preferably all your outdoor furniture should either be stacked away or covered to prevent it from getting unduly wet during a strong rain shower. While the manufacturers may claim that the product is water-proof, the excessive sun and rain do cause the furniture to have a limited life.

Garden umbrellas should also be folded and kept away.

While setting up the garden, one can create a theme. Everything in your garden doesn’t have to match but having some type of theme will make your décor look more consistent and neat. Having a bunch of items that don’t have anything at all in common can look messy and out of place.

Your garden lighting should be waterproof and sealed to prevent any errant water flow.

Maintenance is an important factor especially in monsoons. Clean, paint and rearrange whenever necessary to keep your garden décor looking as beautiful as the day you first put them out. In monsoons place waterproof furniture, hanging pots, bird feeders and decor items etc.
