Seven confirmed cases of swine flu, including of a toddler, were reported from Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, a health official said in Hyderabad.

With this, the total number of H1N1 infections in the state has shot up to 116, Jayakumari, District Health and Medical Officer (DHMO) said here.
She said 92 samples were tested today. Twenty-three confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
Meanwhile, S V Prasad, Superintendent of city-based Andhra Pradesh Chest Hospital, said of the seven new positive cases, four have been admitted to the government-run medical facility. This includes a two-year-old girl and her 34-year-old father, Prasad said.
A 26-year-old critically ill H1N1 patient, undergoing treatment at the hospital, is recovering, he added.
