The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to the Jammu and Kashmir government and the CBI on a petition filed by 13 accused in the Srinagar sex scandal seeking transfer of the trial outside the state.

A Bench headed by the Chief Justice YK Sabharwal also issued notices to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association and the state government on a petition filed by the CBI challenging the August 11 order of the High Court which was partially stayed by the Supreme Court on August 18.
The High Court had on August 11 directed CBI to hold custodial interrogation of all public functionaries named by kingpin Sabeena during investigation.
