Tell us about your role in 36 China Town.
36 China Town is a thriller which means I can’t divulge much about my role. But it was fun working with Subhash Ghai, Abbas Mustan and the entire cast. The music is doing very well.

How different was it to work with Kareena this time?
We share a great comfort level and it only helps us to perform better. Kareena is a very talented and a natural actor. I used to revise my lines before every shot but she would read it just once or twice and give the perfect shot.

You are playing a debt-ridden jobless youth in Priyadarshan’s Chup Chupke. Has it ever happened to you in real life?
We all face money crisis and borrow from friends. Like when I was in college and had to take out more than one girl I used to borrow from my friends. But that’s college life and not a crisis really.

So how did you prepare for the role?
As an actor, I’ ve been observing people and my surroundings for years. It makes my job easy.

How was it working with Priyadarshan?
People love to watch comedies, but very few people know the kind of pain an actor has to go through to make people laugh. I was nervous as this was my first film with Priyan Sir, but as days passed I realised that he is a real softy. I’ve become a better actor after working with him.

What next?
There is a world tour coming up and then there are Satish Kaushik’s Milenge Milenge and Sooraj Bharjatya’s Vivaah.
