Following is an account put together from information received from sources in the Mumbai Police. It is based on the interrogation of former media honcho Indrani Mukerjea, her former Shyam driver and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna:
April 23, 2012
Indrani Mukerjea conducts a reconnaissance with her driver at Raigad. Indrani calls Sanjeev Khanna and talks to him. She books a room for him at Hilltop Hotel in Worli.
April 24, 2012: Sanjeev Khanna lands in Mumbai and checks into the hotel.
6pm: Sanjeev Khanna is picked up by Indrani and her driver in an Opel Astra car from the hotel at Worli.
7pm: Sanjeev Khanna, along with Indrani, reach National College at Linking Road in Bandra. Around the same time, Rahul Mukerjea drops Sheena Bora near National College.
7pm: Sheena gets into Indrani's car near National College.
7pm: There is no clarity on how Sheena Bora was killed. Police commissioner Rakesh Maria said Sheena was strangulated inside the car and her body was dumped in a bag, and dumped into the boot of the car. The questions on the spots where Sheena was strangulated and her body was transferred into the boot remain unanswered. Although various theories are being floated, neither the remand application nor the FIR states the entire plot.
April 25, 2012
4am: The three accused reach Gogade village in Pen tehsil of Raigad district and drag the body out of the car into a thickly forested region. They pour petrol over it and burn it, after which the trio return to the city. Sanjeev Khanna travels back to Kolkata a while later.
