The Gurgaon office of excise and taxation department has forwarded their request to the commissioner office in Chandigarh.

The department has earlier forwarded a similar demand from the victims for cancellation of licences of all six bars situated in Sahara Mall.

On Monday, the agitated relatives and their hundreds of supporters encircled the mall, locked all the six bars and demanded immediate arrest of the bouncers and cancellation of bar licences.

"I have taken down their request. I can only convey their concern to the higher authorities. Only the collector of the department is authorised to take decision on shifting or cancelling the licence of a liquor vend or a bar," said HB Sharma, the deputy excise and taxation commissioner.

After the brawl on July 30 between the youths and the bouncers, police registered a case of rioting and attempt to murder against pub owners and the bouncers. However, only three bouncers have so far been arrested.
