New dept inaugurated
RENOWNED GYNAECOLOGIST Dr S B Mulye inaugurated the Mother and Child Welfare Maternity and Vaccination department at Robert Nursing Home recently. Gynaecologists would render their services at the department once a week. Hospital superintendent Dr Vijay Singh Yashlaha said that Dr Kelkar, Dr Maroo, Dr Savita Inamdar, Dr Nirmala Goyal and Dr G C Sepaha were also present at the programme.
Solo acting contest
A TOTAL of 12 actors performed at late Shri Baba Gore memorial solo acting contest-2006 organised under Sharadotsava-06 by Maharashtra Sahitya Sabha recently. Surekha Gore was special invitee of the programme. Sudhir Khadilkar, Seema Bhise, Archana Gholap Vaidhya, Suresh Tare were among artists who performed at the programme. Prabhakar Tokekar and Dr Ganesh Matkar commemorated late Baba Gore.
On the occasion a play ‘Holi’ portraying the festival of Holi was presented by Natya Bharti Sanstha at the concluding day of late Chandu Parkhi memorial drama competition. Another play ‘Nadi Naware’ was staged by Well and Well Education Society on the occasion. Manjushri Bhogle and Rekha Deshpande participated in the play. Milind Deshpande conducted the programme.
