He said it was the duty of leaders to decide his role in the party.

He said he would bide his time if the leadership felt that he was not mature enough to shoulder any responsiblilty.

Sinha was here to participate in a wedding ceremony. In a chat with mediapersons, Sinha sympathised with expelled party leader Uma Bharti and Madanlal Khurana.

Failing to hide his soft corner for them, he said they were mass leaders. He also said the exit of senior people from a party always made an impact.

To a question about shouldering a new responsibility, Sinha said he would comment on the matter only when the party announced its decision.

About his rare appearances on the political scene, he said it was time for peace and preparation. He denied he would retire from politics.

Comparing the film world to the political arena, Sinha said there was glamour in films and power in politics, adding the glamour of power was everlasting.

The former minister admitted that the Bharatiya Janata Party had projected him as the future chief minister of Bihar, but the party did not get enough seats on its own.

Asserting that he believed in the politics of ideology, he said he was against criminalisation of politics.
