The Commission was hearing an RTI appeal filed by Anoop Kumar Gupta, a resident of Dwarka in the capital wherein he sought information pertaining to duty hours of executive's upto the level of senior managers in various disciplines in AAI.

"The Commission has taken a very serious view of this lapse and has decided to issue a show cause notice as penalty to the Executive Director of the Personnel Department for providing incomplete information to the appellant", said Information Commissioner OP Kejariwal in a recent order.

The CIC took note of the delay caused at the instance of Public Information Officer AAI, which it termed as a lapse on the part of the official.

Kumar, in his petition contended that PIO in a reply to his application said that the information was not available with the concerned department.

He further said that on approaching AAI's Appellate Authority, he was, however, provided some information, which Kumar complained to be as incomplete.
