Shrivastav takes charge

Dr GC Shrivastav an IAS officer from the Union Territories cadre, today assumed charge of the office of Vice-Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jabalpur.

Dr GC Shrivastav an IAS officer from the Union Territories cadre, today assumed charge of the office of Vice-Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jabalpur.

According to an official release, born in Uttar Pradesh, Dr Shrivastav completed his early education from UP before graduating from the Lucknow University in 1959. He completed his post-graduation from the Benaras Hindu University and studied Law at the Allahabad University. Dr Shrivastav holds a doctorate in Economics from the Kanpur University and was selected for the Indian Administrative Service in 1967.

He had worked in different capacities in Mizoram, Goa, Delhi and in the Central Government. He served as the Member Secretary of the Twelfth Finance Commission before retirement. Post-retirement, he was appointed the Chairman of the State Finance Commission of Uttaranchal.
