Vir Sanghvi’s article Jai Sri Ram, Comrade? (August 29) stems from the conclusion that the Indo-US deal is favourable to India. Most of the public is not aware of the implications of the Hyde Act since it has been kept in strict secrecy by the government. A parliamentary debate will expose all this. Sanghvi’s observations, taking the BJP to task, would be better understood and appreciated after the facts are debated and then adopted by Parliament.
