Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu joined the election fray on Thursday, filing his nomination as a BJP candidate for the Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab.
Accompanied by several BJP and Akali Dal leaders, Sidhu filed his papers before the returning officer.
Former state ministers Balramji Dass Tandon and Natha Singh Dalam were among those present on the occasion.
