Three candidates were in the fray for election to the Lok Lok Sabha set in Mizoram while three candidates were in the fray for the by-poll to Kolasib assembly seat, after all the nomination papers were found to be valid during scrutiny today.

State chief electoral officer Lalmalsawma said that all the nomination papers received, both for the Lok Sabha polls and the Kolasib by-poll, were found to be valid.
The contenders for the Lok Sabha polls were Vanlalzawma of the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), Dr Laltluangliana Khiangte of the 'Mizoram Secular Force'(MSF) formed by three major opposition parties and Tlangdingliana of the Ephraim Union, he said.
Nominations submitted yesterday by K Lalrinliana of the MNF, C Lalbiakthanga of the MSF and Lalramtiama of the BJP were also found to be valid.
The last date of withdrawal is April three while polling for both Lok Sabha Polls and Kolasib by-poll will be held on April 20.
