Six killed, 14 injured in mishap in Karnataka
Six persons were killed on the spot and 14 others injured on Thursday when a state transport corporation bus collided with a van and a bullock cart at Paduvanahalli village, 50 kms from Hassan(Karnataka) , police said.

"Of the six casualties, all men, five were travelling in the van, while the remaining one was travelling in the bullock cart," Superintendent of Police, Hassan, K V Sharatchandra said.
The accident took place when the driver of the bus, on its way to to Holenarasipur from Channarayapatna, lost control over the vehicle and first rammed into the van and later into the bullock cart, he said.
The injured have been admitted to government hospitals in Channarayapatna and Hassan, the SP said, adding, the bus driver managed to escape from the spot and a hunt is on to nab him.
