Six persons were killed in different rain related mishaps in Uttar Pradesh since Tuesday evening taking the death toll to 24 this season.

While, four persons were killed in Barabanki in separate incidents of wall collapse due to excessive rains, one person each died in Hardoi and Maharajganj, official sources said.
Heavy rainfall, which was 32 mm on an average brought respite to people especially the farmers. Maximum rainfall of 283.1 mm was recorded in Fursatganj in Rae Bareli district on Wednesday, Met department said in Lucknow.
Apart from Fursatganj, Jaunpur received 16.6 mm rain, Amethi 120 mm, Sultanpur 99.5 mm, Bareilly 81.1 mm and Hardoi 69 mm, they said.
The state capital received 40 mm rainfall which is the highest in the season so far.
