Slow pace of work: Commissioner unhappy
DIVISIONAL COMMISSIONER Moolchand Yadav has expressed displeasure at the slow pace of work on Rajghat over bridge. He directed the joint commissioner (development) to convene a meeting of the engineers concerned at divisional commissioner hall on May 20. Yadav made an on-the-spot inspection of the bridge in the morning and expressed his displeasure stating that no approach road had been constructed so far.

Yadav made an on-the-spot inspection of the bridge in the morning and expressed his displeasure stating that no approach road had been constructed so far. He directed the senior officials to make regular spot verification of all the development work in the district.
Sources said that divisional commissioner had directed additional commissioner (development) Ram Briksh to convene the meeting of Power Corporation, PWD, National Highway and Forest Department along with Bridge Corporation to review the widening work of roads and to remove all the hindrance.
Yadav said that the rural electrification work in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions was progressing and all the chief development officer along with engineers should make regular visit to the site. He wanted stringent action against the officials for laxity in duty.
