As many as 34 members were absent on Monday during the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha, who has questions listed against their names. Only two out 28 Congress MPs were present during the Question Hour in Lok Sabha.

Barely 30 minutes into Question Hour, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House in frustration. She later regretted the absence of such a large number of members.

In view of all this, the Congress chief cracked whip and is likely to take disciplinary action against them.

Taking a unanimous stand on the issue, many MPs said it was shameful and waste of public money.
