Boeta Dippenaar top-scored with 80 to help South Africa to a 94-run win over Queensland in their one-day match in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The match was South Africa's final warmup before the triangular one-day series with Australia and Sri Lanka starting on Friday.
Jacques Rudolph added 50 off 63 balls in South Africa's 205 for eight at the Gabba, where Australia beat the visitors in the inaugural Twenty20 match in the country on Monday.
Garnet Kruger then took three for 18 from seven overs and Shaun Pollock captured three for 22 to dismiss Queensland for 111 in the 28th over. Queensland slumped to 28 for six in the 11th over and it was only a ninth-wicket partnership of 50 between Andy Bichel (37) and Nathan Hauritz (23 not out) that saved the home side from being dismissed for under 100.
Australia play Sri Lanka in Melbourne in the opening game of the triangular series on Friday before the world champions travel to Brisbane for a match with South Africa on Sunday.
